RainmakMe launched on November 20, 2015 and has made 5 investments to date.
RainmakeMe is also very excited to be part of NephoScale as one of its first outside investors. Bruce Templeton and his team have developed a capable and well priced software solution for OpenStack based cloud and infrastructure management. The sky is the limit for NephoScale.
Stoked, psyched, can't be happier about #3. Republic gives everyone access to startup investing and levels the playing field for startup fundraising. Most of the team previously worked at AngelList, the world’s leading startup investment platform. On this investment platform everyone can invest (accredited and non-accredited investors) as little as $10 in innovative startups curated by the team.
Honestly one of the coolest companies and founders we have ever come across. We are now part of PantyProp and working with Crystal Etienne as her first investor! Crystal is from Queens, built PantyProp on her own and has been killing it and now it's time to blow this thing up. RainmakeMe has been able to hook Crystal up with a co-founder and a strategic investor. If you want to learn what being a great entrepreneur talk to Chuck about the Crystal Triangle.
Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin to start. Exited majority of positions on 11/29/2017 and left some house money on the table. Still holding Bitcoin Cash, Kin and Filecoin.
RainmakeMe Advisor Roles
What an honor. We are super stoked to be part of Republic with Ken Nguyen because it's a game changer for the startup investment world. If you don't know about Jobs Act Title III Equity Crowdfunding read more here. Also, check out Republic's mission at Medium and launch article at Inc.
Please note if RainmakeMe invests in your startup first you will not be allowed to raise on the Republic funding portal. If this is confusing please feel free to inquire.
Testify is an amazing ed-tech company I was fortunate enough to connect with early in 2016. The company, founded by juniors in high school, was about to launch when I considered becoming their first investor. We came tantalizingly close to making it happen when I realized these 16 year olds didn't need money but instead needed a mentor, they needed time to figure it out, they needed to realize money at that time was going to do them no good. They realized all this and I have stayed in touch with their leader, Femi Adebogun, ever sense. I plan to be there for them for a long time. These men are going places and I am lucky enough to help here and there. In the near future, expect to see them in a major spotlight.
Chuck Pettid has been asked to join Founders Space as an advisor/judge panelist for their upcoming May 2016 demo day. What a great honor. Don't be fooled; Founders Space does not take part in the Lotto Strategy and prides themselves on a well rounded group of mentors and advisors similar to Chuck's approach. He can't wait to attend!
